The Chinese Association of Tower Hamlets Home Care service is dedicated to providing high-quality, responsive care and support, helping our clients stay independent in their homes for longer. Our services include assistance with personal care, housekeeping, shopping, meal preparation, companionship, and home-based respite.
Our service is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), rated “Good” in four areas and “Outstanding” in one. Our services can be accessed through referrals by health and social care professionals or directly by individuals wishing to arrange support.
Our team includes a Registered Manager/General Manager, two Nominated Individuals, two Care Coordinators, and a group of dedicated care workers.
Job Opportunity: Home Care Workers
To support our expanding service, we are recruiting Home Care Workers to provide day and night personal care and domestic support for elderly Chinese and Vietnamese residents across Tower Hamlets, Newham, Islington, Hackney, Lewisham, Southwark, Barnet, and other London boroughs.
Position Details:
- Hourly Wage: Starting from £13.45 per hour
- Paid Leave: 5.6 weeks (prorated for part-time workers)
- Pension Scheme: Workplace Pension Scheme available
- Qualifications: Priority given to candidates with a nationally recognized Diploma in Health & Social Care Level 2 or equivalent
Additional Information for BNO Visa Holders:
If you hold a British National (Overseas) [BNO] visa and work in health and care in the UK, you may be eligible for a refund of the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS).
Candidate Requirements:
- Must be a British citizen or have a valid work visa
- Fluent in Cantonese
- Experience in elderly care
- Patient and enthusiastic about community work
- Willing to undergo further training
